Lisa Riker

Student Success Coach

I am filled with gratitude to be a part of the Heartwood family! I have over a decade of experience in education, social-emotional learning, and youth advocacy. I am originally from the mountains of Colorado and hold both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in education. I have spent my career helping young people navigate challenges with resilience, self-awareness, and confidence.

I am also a certified yoga teacher and a passionate advocate for mindfulness-based learning. My work as Student Success Coach focuses on empowering students to be present, joyful, and fully themselves and my approach is grounded in what I like to call the SHL principle—helping every child feel Seen, Heard, and Loved. I am deeply committed to building a life of purpose, service, and abundance—and believe that working with children is not only my calling, but the first step in making a lasting impact in today's world.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, strength training, bird-watching, practicing yoga, and getting hooked on a good binge-worthy TV series.
