Ms. Dixon

My name is Lauren Dixon, and I’m excited to join Heartwood Community School as a third grade teacher. I hold a degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina, where I was awarded a CERRA Teaching Fellowship, and a master’s in Sociology and Education Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University. I’ve worked as both a Special Education Coordinator and Classroom Teacher, and I am passionate about creating a warm, engaging classroom where no matter what students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow.

In my free time, I love leading worship at my church, sewing, and cooking with my fiancé!
