Kelly Giles

Special Education; Interventionist

My background in disability started six years ago working in a group home for individuals with Autism. From there I went back to school and received my Masters of Arts in Special Education: Adaptive Curriculum. I taught forr two years in in North Carolina in a fully self-contained classroom and loved it before moving down to Savannah Georgia. In Savannah I continued teaching special education in an inclusion classroom before starting my journey at Heartwood Community School! I am thrilled to continue teaching here as a special educator/Interventionist.

I love to read, travel and play board games! You can always find me with a book; I take one wherever I go. My husband and I travel often for vacations or concerts. One of our goals is to see all 50 statels. Lastly, I love to play and introduce others to new board games. I currently run the chess club here at Heartwood and enjoy every minute of it!
